Chestnutbacked Chickadee

From Saturday morning in my blind. This one was nice enough to pause for a few seconds mostly exposed.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow mounted to blind window, f8, 1/250, iso 1250, Av mode with -1/3 stop compensation (the cheek didn't get blown, though there is a patch that might look that way). I'm starting to learn Lightroom, so this was partially processed there and finished in CS6 (using the spot healing brush to remove some wire over the branch). Cropped to 12MP. Taken January 25th at 8:38 am.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

I like the pose & eye contact, very good job with the difficult exposure in this scene.
Sharp where it must be, I especially like the chestnut plumage color seen so well.
Wish I had this one here..
Well done! :toast:

Dennis the exposure looks spot on to me and the nice looking little bird looks sharp and just the right size in the frame, good job well done.
Good luck with lightroom it got the better of me so stuck with CS 5 which I like.
Keith.

Great lighting and exposure here Dennis, I find the fg branch a little distracting but not too bad. :toast:

I like the setting and details on the chickadee. Wish we had this variety here...the chestnut browns add so much! Sharon
