Whispers of Heaven

Another abstract from the recent wave cloud. This one was much later during the sunset and near twilight without the direct sunlight and with cooler colors.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Large version included,

Morris

I like this one the best of this whole series. It's very ethereal with a great mix of softly warm and softly cool colors and that neat tube of cloud dropping down from the top. Very dreamy. I do wonder how dodging the darkest part in the llc a bit would effect this.

I love the abstract quality you're pulling out of these. Would be ideal images for anyone wanting a splash of color on their walls, but without being a recognizable "picture of something."
BTW - I still get a feeling of being underwater!

This is my favorite of the wave series also, Morris. I sorta like the dark llc as it transitions from there to the blue in the urc. Way to take advantage of this wonderful atmospheric phenom. Well done.

Thanks Mark, I did do some shadow recovery and a small bit of dodging in that area, but it may need more work.

Thanks, Michael and Gary. :wavey:

Your other images from this series were like big booming brass overtures; this image is more like a melodic string quartet. I like the pastel color and the more elongated sweeping lines in the clouds. I'm really liking this series, Morris!! :toast:

Hi Morris, You keep pushing my eye into unfrequented territory. I appreciate the nice colors in this one but wish the image was processed a bit more dreamy. Have you tried a G Blur and slight Smart Sharpen on this one to maximize the mid tones? Heck I don't know, just thinking out loud here!

Pretty trippy, Morris.
I like the dark LHC, I might lighten the BG clouds and sky even more for a bit more contrast.
Attractive colors!

This is very nice, Morris. A quiet, calm version of your sky images with very appealing comp and color. You are making the most of the spectacular clouds. Chet

Another beauty Morris. I like the cooler tones in this and the upward movement. Great job seeing these abstracts. Very nice. :toast:

Thanks everyone.

Thanks, Kane. This does have a touch of Gaussian blur at 15.5 and held at 10% in the layer, and then TK's cloud sharpening also reduced in opacity.

I agree with Bill, for me the best of the series so far. I like the color palette, and the composition is well balanced and simple (not simplistic).

Sweet color Morris. I think the first you posted is my favorite of the series, but this ranks right up there.
