We had the most incredible wave cloud all along the front range last night. It helped me begin my goal this year to be less literal and more figurative with my work. There was not much photoshop work needed on this with only adjustments to contrast, saturation, and sharpening with TK's cloud sharpening layer.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Large Version Included,

Morris

Disorienting, and I like it. Besides the interesting clouds, the golden light adds a nice touch.

Wow Morris, this is pretty amazing if I do say so myself, and the title fits it perfectly, love the color and different shapes. Quite beautiful indeed.

I can't figure out what I'm looking at, so it must be a "figurative" success! One post eludes to clouds, but I thought I was looking at something under water - seaweeds or some kind of underwater vegetation and/or muck.

Is this pic inverted, maybe upside down? Whatever the case, I love it when photographer's take a chance at something new and are successful at conveying their intent... subjective it is. :toast:

Thanks for the comments everyone. :wavey:

Daniel, this one is not rotated, although I have already done that to others I have worked up from this shoot. Doing it to some gives them an even more abstract appearance and seems to help with titling and message. Thanks.

Looking at this reminds me of waking up from a hot afternoon intoxicated beach nap. It takes a minute to get your bearings, your vision, and comprehension of what your seeing and experiencing... Me thinks this is quite neat.

Holy cow! Morris, this one sings sweetly to me. Actually, viewing it makes me sing Hosannah! in high C! I can't wait to see more of your journey into non-literal image making.
