Bighorn's Snowy Day

Found this Bighorn Ram cruising the cliffs at the east end of Lamar Valley this week in Yellowstone Park. I was trying to show the falling snow in the frame and found it hard to locate a dark backdrop to make it really stand out and then he walked into an area that I think worked pretty well. Slightly cropped, with some basic burning, dodging, sharpening. Thanks for any feedback!

Fine looking ram and very will captured. The snow adds a lot of interest to the image. Great detail and dof.

I like the pose and eye contact along with the falling snow. I might experiment with a vertical crop to reduce the amount of out of focus rocks that take up much of the foreground but still a wonderful shot. Well done.

Here is a vertical crop as suggested. Let me know if you think it works better this way. I just always like to give the subject room to look into or face towards. Seems a little tight to me and creates a more centered subject which always gives me the willies!
