The dominant member of this Hyena clan keeps a watchful eye on our vehicle as the young ones carry on playing … undisturbed by our presence. Image captured near Plains Camp in one of the private concessions in Kruger National Park, South Africa

Mario, I'm a hyena fan (yes, we are few) and this image depicts how protective they are of their clan...especially their young. They are perhaps the best parents of any animal I'm aware of....traveling as far as it takes to bring back food. This is well composed and exposed...with just the right dof, and it tells a story I like....though I'm not too keen on roadways in a wildlife image.

Good detail on the larger image and sharp where it needs to be. I like the look and slight mouth opening from the parent hyena, way to go.
