Those firs got famous here in switzerland since I photographed them a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Meanwhile a lot of swiss photographers asked me where those firs are located...........this is in the Jura Heights in the western part of switzerland and not "overphotographed" as many of the locations are in the swiss alps.

I never thought I would be intrigued by photos of a few fir trees, but I certainly am by this wonderful shot!

This is a wonderful shot Bill. The beautiful color and clouds in the sky made a fantastic back drop for these fir trees. :toast:

Great image. I like the composition, the light and the clouds. Just an over all fine image.

Beautiful light on a strong subject. The sky has a slight HDR signature to it. I'm curious about the processing.

Thanks for your feedbacks. As always I really appreciate it.

@Kah Kit: About the processing. It's a single shot, double processing RAW's - one for the foreground and firs and one for the sky. Manually blended in photoshop with the "Blend if" sliders.....in photosho slight color adjustment and contrast.......sharpening for the web and that's it. Hope this give you an idea about the processing here

Wonderful sky, it really brings the trees to life and pulls the image together. The converging lines of the clouds are so powerful they almost force you to focus on the trees. Excellent composition.

A gorgeous treescape, Bill. The trees look very 3d and the comp is just right. The sky is a little bit too contrasty for me (gives it a bit of the overworked HDR feel) but overall, an excellent photo!

Beautiful firs Bill; I can see why others are chasing them. I agree that fading the processing to lighten the contrast in the sky would look good.
