Early Light

This was shot just before the sun came up over the horizon. This is an angle of the Scotts Bluff National Monument that I have been thinking about for some time. Life has been hectic lately and I haven't been able to shot much. This morning as I went out and the sky looked completely cloudy in the east with no hope of nice light. Just before sunrise a gap opened up over the horizon and the light was really sweet. This is a pano of three images. Very little post processing, a little in levels.
Thanks for you comments and critiques.

Well, guess you never know what the sunrise will be like unless you're out there. Sweet, Richard. Lovely colors to the Bluff but I really like the color of the sky. The range of your color palette is small but what you got is terrific. And snow, even.

I feel that I would like to see what exists a bit below the frame, mainly because of that ridge of rock down just right of centre. Love the light and subject. I think the processing is perfect.

Beautiful colors in the sky and a lovely glow on the bluffs. The snow is the icing on the cake. Nice job

Hi Richard, There is a nice softness to the light and color here that is very appealing to me. I also like the touch of snow scattered about the scene. Maybe just a bit more room above the rock on the right but not a big deal. Very nicely done! Happy Holidays!

Definitely not the usual view of Scottsbluff, nice job finding this. The colors and shapes are great. I agree with the wishes for a bit more space top and bottom, as this feels like a very tight view.
