Very pretty colors and a nice composition. It might tend to be just a bit busy.

Jim, This is very nicely done! I really like your composition here and you caught some wonderful color too. This looks like it would have been a hard place to come up with such a nice comp to me but you did it beautifully. I really like looking all through your large version.

It is a bit busy as Richard mentioned, but the mix of colors and elements work very well here Jim. And it's a really well balanced comp. Nice eye for this!

While I agree it might seem a bit busy, I do think you did a great job composing this. I really like the red rock in the water next to the grass, providing a great anchor point in the scene and complimenting the distant foliage well. The middle pool is just as interesting with the ripples in the sand. Nice work.

It's a nice quiet scene Jim with some lovely natural colours.

Very nice take, Jim. I am not finding it too busy, just a lot of nice elements. I might consider it a bit tight on the left side, but very minor. Pretty scene.

this is like the anti-Zion photo! It's like what would happen if our friend John Benway (or Didl--whatever happened to him...) visited ZIon. But i like it, nice lead in with the stream, just enough interest. Just don't count on many mass sales

Stan ... Why do you say "anti-Zion photo"? For the most part, I try with my compositions to capture some aspect(s) of the Zion landscape, especially with intimate landscapes such as this. I'm not trying to be critical or to take issue with your comment. I just want to understand better what you mean.

This is a perfect example of your trademark work. A well thought out comp with all of the elements placed within the space where they need to be. Outstanding work!

Jim,
You have such a beautiful way with the intimate captures, and this one is another example of beautiful intimate photography in nature. The colors, comp, and detail are so great for the eye to explore through out this image.

I just meant it aint your typical Zion photo--the usual suspects which you know very well. It was meant as a compliment, believe it or not.

Jim - i think all of the elements work nicely in this comp. The FG grasses look overly bright to me, considering the lighting. I might decrease the overall brightness to give a more canyon-like feel, if that makes any sense. Pretty scene indeed.
