Thanks for all the comments on my previous post, much appreciated!

I finally had some free time to go back and look through my images from my trip to Washington this past summer. Here's one from the Sol Duc Rain Forest in Olympic NP. Again, these rain forests are incredibly difficult to photograph!

This is a blend of two exposures for depth of field. For this shot I was perched on the edge of a large gorge and was practically laying prone, looking up through these large leaves. I'm not sure what kind of plants/trees? these are, perhaps someone more familiar with the area might know?

See larger version!

Hi Zack, This was a great idea and I like how it came out! It is different and it really puts you there in the forest. Nice work!

This is simply gorgeous, Zack, and a very unique perspective of the Olympic forest. The softlight and more so the backlight on these leaves really make this image. The leaves are Devil's Club. If you got too close to the stalks and got a thorn in your skin, you will quickly know the reason for the name. Fantastic image.

I really like this composition, I am just drawn right in to the image. I also like the colors are vibrant also.

Wonderful perspective Zack and nice colors to this. Makes me feel like I'm right there. Devil's Club grows all over here and are nasty if you get in them. Great job on coming up with a unique perspective here. Great job. :toast:

An outside the box, and very cool comp. A great 3D effect. I could see toning down the brights a touch. Very well done.
