I was out at sun up this morning to check on the deer at the nature area near where I live. Well after the sun was up, I caught this doe just right in a nice shaft of light which illuminated her but kept the rest of her surroundings in the shade. I did about a 50% crop to get rid of unnecessary chaos around her and to put more emphasis on her. If I'd been more alert, I could have just zoomed in a bit more but forgot that I had I had additional leeway. Oh, well. I warmed it just a little and sharpened for the web. Comments and critiques are welcomed and very much appreciated.

A tighter crop from the bottom and right, to remove some of the OOF grasses, would be my only suggestion. Good job!

Peter. Nice morning light. I agree. Tighter crop... starting around the area of green grass... :toast:

I like the spotlight effect. I agree this would benefit from some more telephoto to isolate her from some of the background and surroundings.
