Long-tailed Weasel

A difficult animal to find. It took me 30 years to finally get in front of one. Today, after a six hour stakeout I was rewarded with about two hours worth of shooting with this very cooperative subject.

The facial patterns are pretty incredible, and even for a long-tailed it looks extra tall and slender. Congrats on finding a beautiful specimen of a tough species to photograph.

"Nice find" doesn't seem like an adequate depiction after a 30 year wait. But, wow what a great pose on a fine looking individual. On my monitor the grass seems just slightly over-saturated Charlie, but grass is notoriously variable in its appearance. Congratulations on this lifer! :toast:

Charlie, I have to give you a big tip of the hat for your work on this capture overall. The amount of dedication and time you placed on working to obtain this image, as well as the bat images, is to be commended. This is excellent work IMO.

Congrats on your WP this week for this image also....... :toast:
