Cinnamon Peak in the Fraser Valley, BC, just West of Mount Robson. Usually when we drive through there it is overcast or raining. This time, the skies had cleared and we were treated to spectacular mountain views just before sunset.

Canon 7D, Canon 15-85 at 70 mm, f/8.0, ISO 400, 1/50 sec, HH, PP with LR5, CS6 and NIK suite.

All comments are much appreciated. Thanks for looking and thanks for all your comments on my other photos.

Very nice Roger, easy to see why they call it this..
Excellent use of the late light, that extra bit of 'cinnamon' made all the difference
Well done :toast:

Great catch, with the touch of warm light up top set against the hanging clouds in the middle and the cold snowy ridges at the bottom.

Good contrast of warm and cold, although I'm sure it was very chilly at the top!

Roger,

Beautiful light hitting the peak with wonderful soft clouds floating around. I really like the soft color all the way around contrasting nicely with the warm light.

Not sure if it's focusing, web sharpening or compression, but both versions slightly soft. Regardless, still a great moment you've captured.

Thank you all for your critiques. I have reviewed the original RAW file and it has lost some sharpness during PP, just as with my Raven image. I will revisit this one here too. Thanks again. Your comments really help.
