Another great rainy day shot of a lily, Charlie! I like this larger view of the lily flower in its surroundings. Love the raindrop ripples of varying sizes and how some overlap. The lily gives off warm color in the midst of the dark water. One suggestion I have is to crop up a bit more from the bottom to just below the flower shadow, and crop in from the right to the front of the group of lily pads. That would leave one lily pad, the flower more off-center, and the wonderful overlapping ripples to balance out the comp. Just a thought. . .

A very pretty bloom, and the ripples in the water work really well for me Charlie. I sort of wish that the lily was a bit farther left in the frame - closer to the left third line.

The ripple patterns make this very appealing. I like Carolyn's crop suggestion, it would eliminate the "empty" space toward the bottom and focus the attention even more on that lovely bloom.

Very cool image, Charlie. I'm not familiar with that kind of color in a water lily. I think I agree with the crop suggestions.

I suppose you might crop this, Charlie, but it works fine as is for me. I like how the faint, large ripple in the fg leads up to the flower and then you get the stronger ringlets taking over.

Love this scene for the pond ripples from the rain. A rainy day should provide nice, soft light for the lily, Charlie. It looks awfully bright to me.

Oh, gosh, in that case, all is well. It's just that it's incongruous with the rain... Sorry about that. Must be my previous training, that still sticks with me, to spot incongruities... You have full license in good standing!

Love the glow in the flower and the scattered ripples from the rain. Given where the ripples are, I'd say the flower is in just the right spot.
