Location: Fools Hollow Lake - Show Low, AZ

This was taken near our campsite recently on a calm, summer evening. The glow on the right side of the snag is from the town lights. I'm not really sure how I feel about the glow, so comments and critiques would be welcome.

Thanks,
Tonia

Lovely star field, Tonia in a fine setting. Looks like a great night to be camping. Part of me wishes for a uniform darkness/color to the sky, but I recognize that in our world, avoiding light pollution is very difficult. I also think that the added brightness is helping show off that fine snag that's anchoring your comp.

Yes, light pollution is a very common issue for many of us. However, in this image I don't find it objectionable at all. In fact I think it makes a nice background for the craggy tree. As one moves to the left in the picture, the sky is darker with more stars visible. All balances out well I think. My only thought would be to crop a bit off the right to help emphasize the tree and the darker portion of the sky more.
