Nice exposure with a muted background and the colors look right on. I would like to see a little more room around the bird -- especialls the left side -- good look at this bird

Barb, I am good either way...more room or tight as posted. I just like seeing different aspects from everyone from time to time. I like your decision for a tight shot on this one because the feather detail in this shot is super nice....so why not show it off? Nice work!

Nice capture with fine detail and good background for this attractive bird. The wet plumage prevented some additional detail that you would have certainly captured as well.

I like the tight crop of this image and the details it is able to present in this heron, Barb. Excellent pose and light - I particularly like how well you were able to capture the texture in its neck.
