This was our first ever sighting of this forest dweller. We found it on the road to Ishasha, in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

Excellent, Ken. Such a great view of the facial markings and the rest of the body. I like the placement in the frame as well.

What a cool subject Ken. I appreciate the good body pose and excellent detail. The only thing that I feel could be improved is the composition; as is it feels a bit unbalanced to me with the subject to the far left. Cropping a bit tighter by removing some from the top and right will sort that one IMO.

Vincent,

Thans for your comment, I see what you mean, my cropping is often a little off

Well composed for good effect, even with a busy background. On my monitor there is a greenish cast that I think is more than reflected foliage. In going back and reviewing your previous post, I wonder if there is a bit of a color cast there, too. Easy fix in post processing...but maybe a recalibrate of monitor is indicated?

Lon,

Thanks for your comment, it is lush green up there, there is plenty of rain. My monitor was calibrated around a week ago, perhaps it is caused by the downsizing and conversion to SRGB which I find always messes with the original colour'

I would concur that the conversion could be attributable.
Again, fine capture, well posed. I envy your opportunity to photograph there!

Lon,

Thanks for your reply, a trip to Uganda should be on everybody's "bucket" list. It has recovered well from the slaughter in Idi Amins years, and has some very fine places to see different animals, and the birding is phenomenal!
