Cuernos Surf & Turf - Repost

I thought the sky was going to explode with color as the rising sun hit Los Cuernos during my Patagonia trip, but things fizzled shortly after this shot. Most of the time I was photographing near the glacial lakes, winds were calm and didn't allow for many surf and wave shots. Luckily this sunrise coincided with some nice early light.

5D II, 28-105L, slight polarization, ISO 400, f16, .3 sec.

Beautiful composition. The glow on the far peaks adds just enough warmth to balance out the cooler tones of the fg. This is a really nice shot.

Quite a beauty here, Harry. Very fine shot from Torres Del Paine, particularly with the dynamic foreground.

What a trip! The rugged beauty and fleeting light delights the viewer in this great capture. Wild country...remote looking and severe. Nice job!

Very nice work Harry! Love the comp withe detail in the foreground rocks. The color of the sky also works nicely with the blue in the water. The sky may not have exploded in color but the subtleness of the light is also quite nice as well.

Beautiful image and composition Harry. Nice soft warm light on the mountains and great foreground. The spray adds nice motion. Well done.

After posting, the mnt. cyans and blues looked too strong/saturated so I've cut them back a bit. I think it's an improvement, but I've been looking a too many images lately

Actually I prefer the original version with the stronger colour contrasts. Nicely balanced shot and just enough of water motion in the foreground to give some drama.

This is flat out spectacular, Harry. The warm light on the peaks is gorgeous as is the wave action along the rocky shoreline. Looks like you captured some beautiful images on your trip. :toast:

Beautiful work here Harry! Both versions look great to me, but I might slightly lean towards the original. :toast:

This is awesome, Harry. The subdued colors and warm light on the peaks combined with the wave action work well together. I love it.

Wow, what an amazing range of mountains. They have to be some of the best looking mountains on the planet. Wondering if you took any landscape oriented shots during this shoot?
