Branches are not usually put in front of flowers, I know..., but I kinda liked the result and wonder your opinion.

GH3, Lumix G Vario 100-300 @ 300; tripod, cpl; f 11, 1/60, +1.33 EV, ISO 200.

Thanks for your thoughts here, and for the comments on Madrona Tree.

I like it! It is more about design & color than about the flowers....works for me!

Catherine: Well seen! Love the chaotic nature of this and the prominence of the branches. The high key BG works great with this color palette as well. This is good photography. :toast: >=))>

Very beautiful, Catherine ! Love the patterns and the sense of depth - your eye keeps getting drawn here and there, in and out, without feeling anything but joy on the journey. As lovely a tree image as I can recall.

Nicely done. This looks like some kind of Oriental Magnolia. Would you care to identify the species?

Thank you for the comments. Tickles me to find words like: chaos, design and color, out of the box, and most especially, joy. Bringing chaos into a pattern that brings joy... Feeling pretty humble at this moment. Please continue to enjoy!

Philip, I was working this tree from a distance. Next time I'm at the Arboretum, I'll try to find it's tag for the species name for you.

Very nice Catherine, the high key BG really works well with the burst of colors. Very well seen and presented.

Hi Catherine :wavey: Almost missed this one  The branches have that good symmetry to frame the image perfectly  the colors against the Hi key BG work wonderfully well
