Confusion (and repost)

These flowers can't figure out which way they want to look. They're confused. Or maybe it's me.

I'm struggling to find a good composition and the right lighting for this variety. I have another shot I'll post for critique and suggestions in a day or so. I can't say I'm happy with either one.

Would this composition be better if I rotated it about 45 degrees CCW?

To answer my own question: Yes, I think it looks better with a healthy CCW rotation. It seems better balanced although it's still heavy on the right.

This is quite nice, Mark. Funny, I was thinking cw rotation... who knows. Maybe a little softer light for this flower? Dunno. Be interesting to see.

I think your repost works much better...gives it a lot of spunk. I really like the lighting as usual:)

Mark: I'm in Catherine's corner on this one regarding the rotation. I do think the repost is more dynamic. Outstanding lighting for my tastes. >=))>

I don't think I have a preference Mark, either way it looks great.

Either way suits me. I like the random attitude of the flowers, which is a bigger draw for me.

I like both, but I like the original for it's uniqueness. Another fine addition to your growing portfolio of orchids. :toast:

Both are lovely. You have to take the orchid with the way it grow or else cut the bloom off. Beautiful presentation.
