I like the forms and diagonal in this in the context of the Weekly Challenge. However, I'm not crazy about the vibrance or hues. I think I can see what you are going for, but I would suggest dialing it back a little. Maybe just me. (Wouldn't be the first time  ) Other than that, nice, misty morning feeling. :toast:

I really like the ghostly image of the old tree Charlie. My screen is showing some green in the top left corner somehow. The thumbnail seemed to have a really nice golden glow that somehow has been lost a bit with the larger image.

Gentlemen, I see it to and have not been able to get rid of the green. Tomorrow I'll look for the RAW file and see what I can do.

Thanks for candid critique. NPN does it best.

Hi Charlie, This is a very cool shot and fits this w/c really well. I do agree with John and Ed on the hues, but looks like you are aware of that...Anyways, I like it.

Nice warm light, Charlie, and that's a great counter-balance to the sort of spooky feel of the big old tree lurking the the murky mist.
Funny about the colors in the bright spot. Somebody pointed out something very similar in one of my images. I thought it might be one of those color artifacts that come with curves adjustments, but it turns out it was right there in the RAW image, too. Fairly easy fix.

Very cool silhouette of this old tree, Charlie. I like the unique yellow lighting from the sunrise that is providing the backlight. The color does look a bit "off" in the top left, as others have mentioned. Have you tried pulling back on the green slider in curves? Or possibly you could clone over some of that "off" color? Other than the color issue, I like the overall comp of this image and the look of the warm lighting trying to burn off the fog. Great entry for the theme.

Fantastic mood, here. A very intense scene, with the light just beginning to pour over the forest.
