On a warm January day the fog covered Harriman State park,
making for a lovely day for photographers that enjoy such light.
This is one of the shots I like,I was wondering what others think
about the left side, that seem to be empty space.
Nikon D7000
ISO 100
1/8 sec @ f/8
18mm
Thanks for viewing.
All C&C welcome.

I really like the upward flow this image has. The scene is tranquil, and the atmosphere adds a lot to the mood. Definitely a fun time to shoot! IMO, I think the grass/moss on the lower right corner could be burned down a bit, just to make sure it doesn't draw one's eye there. As for the left side, it doesn't bother me at all. It seems to have some hidden interest (partially frozen lake, and far side of the lake), so I don't think it detracts from the image at all. Nice capture!

Gerald, the slightly angled view, or slight diagonal flow from the tree top down to the LLHC seems to work OK here. I'm not finding the small open space to the left as any issue. Probably leaves just enough room there to keep the interest up to look deeper into the scene.
