Nibbles

I went to try to work some more on close up Cactus Skeleton shots this morning...and today it made me smile when I found some little tidbits in the area where I was planning to photograph...leftover cactus bites from some rodent. I am assuming that they are from the pack rat who lives under the cactus.

It is quite a balancing act to stand with a long skirt in the middle of a prickly pear cactus surrounded by the pack rat's cholla cactus collection. I have spines everywhere now and feel like a cactus myself.

I am curious what reactions people may have to this image:

Is it too esoteric?
Do you think it's gross? (One woman has told me so already)
Can you see the bite marks?

This is a stack of 31 and is severely compressed.

I am open to positive/negative feedback.

I like it, abstract in a way, but still quite natural.

I like the natural designs in this image and also the contrasting colors. Very unusual but appealing image. Definitely not gross. Good job, Eirini :wavey:

I like it, too........the curves in the nibbles and the swirls on the ground make this interesting.. Definitely better with the nibbles and the backstory :wavey:

That is a very nice intimate scene, Eirini! The textures and patterns of the cactus are beautiful and intriguing.

I like it a lot. The greenery is the mian focal point but the area of attraction for me is the beautiful design of the dead stuff (cactus?).
