aka, leaf on/in ice; fractalius and oilpaint filters. As I was playing with the image, the background took on more of a nebulous appearance, inspiring the title.

I like the image and the title Rob. The image does have a good sense of depth and there's a lot of textural interest for me in the ice and leaf.

The leaf does look like it could be floating in outer space! I like the textures and the golden brown color of the leaf on the dark blue bg.

Interesting contrast between warm and cool tones. The ice is very subtle, lots of interesting details if you linger...
