After the hike up to Larch Valley, I spent a while by the lakeshore as the sun went down…

An odd catch! I like it; it makes me think.

Wonderful, Julian. Not sure about the lit peak touching the rock. Have you got a different composition?

Julian this is a very interesting image which invites one to stay and ponder. I like the the line of reflected light. It is almost like it is moving across the image and in a sense creating it. I like it. Chet

This is really interesting, Julian, and I like it! Just amazing what light does and you show us that here. Very cool!

This is cool; very different, Julian. The warm light on the ridgeline looks as though it is dancing across the water of the lake. This is minor, but do you have any comps where the light is not touching the stone?

Nice catch Julian. Great timing with the light just hitting the ridge tops. I'm wondering too if you have another comp without the exposed rock? Doesn't bother me per se, just wondering if it might have an overall better impact without it. I'd clone/crop out the little bit of exposed rock in the LLC.

Good eye,

Lon

Strange and eyecatching I like the patterning and the two tone blue with orange slash curving through the middle over the island stone. It works for me even though the blue might be a tad strong for my personal taste.

Julian, this is a unique composition. The thin band of reflecting warm light is a nice contrast to the cool blue hues of the water.
