of a photographer (me). This picture of one of the Green Frogs in my pond was taken at about 1.3X life size. Several of these frogs seem to have gotten used to me and allow a close approach as long as I move slowly. At this magnification, my lens was less than 6 inches from the frog, my elbows were in the pond, and the camera was about 4 inches above the water. (5D3, 100mm macro L + 36 mm ET, f/4.5, 1/125 s, iso 400m, hand held.

Our frogs almost look like twins. That is neat how you got your image reflected in his eyes. It is also interesting to notice the difference in the pupil size in our photos. Yours was taken in more light, so the pupil is smaller. Mine was taken in shade, so the pupil is larger. Great capture, Mark. . . but I'm glad you didn't slip into the pond or drop your camera.

Sweet shot. Hope you have insurance, if you should accidentally drop your camera! There is one hot spot behind the eye I would be tempted to clone out.

very nice, Mark. I like the self portrait with sky. The bright spot in the eye is a bit distracting.

Perfect focus I would say. Nice color scheme too. This guy is definitely keeping a stiff upper lip. Good subject choice. Frogs have great bug-eyes.
