Well, now..., I can't decide which bloom portrait I like best, this one or the previous one. I'm gonna go with the first one, but only by a bit. This is great, too, Bill.

Nice title Bill. I like the DOF and the colors. Nice comp overall too.

Just an excellent pov in this one, Bill! And, your comp, dof, pof, and the bokeh make this one a grand shot. I even like the green showing through to cool down all the heat from the yellow and red.

A perfect comp IMO on this image, Bill! The stamen (?) somewhat follows the petal edges, the larger red area is balanced by some red in the opposite corner, and the green area helps accent the stamen and petal lines. Nice DOF choice to have a focus on the stamen with a nicely blurred background. Great lighting and colors.

I like this composition a lot better than your other one! It is a lot more dynamic & nice to see the oof red center of the flower with the petals swirling around it. I am interested in the fuzzy little round balls at the top as well...would be neat to see those in focus too!

Beautifully composed, Bill ( though I slightly prefer the simplicity of your previous post ). Intrigued by how well the choice of focus works with the stigmas slightly blurred, echoing the red of the deep centre. Very original take !!

Perfectly composed to bring out the unusual bent/twisted stamen, Bill. The colors as great as well.
