Curled leaf

While looking at my Sea Oat plants for insects, I came across this leaf that had a curled point. I shot the point straight on, adjusting slightly for various backgrounds. I loved the effect this one had. The lighter green in the background was from some very blurred light green seedheads. This was one of those serendipity kind of shots, where I was pleasantly surprised when viewing the images on my monitor.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/3.5 for 1/125 sec. ISO 400. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Very nice swirl! I like the way it starts out of focus & darker at the top & comes into focus at the swirl...excellently composed!

Lovely!! I like the simplicity of the shot that, usually, it is difficult to find

Great capture! Swirl that goes from the faint blur and opaque to the crystalline and sharp. Cool.
