A lovely image Scott. There is enough in-focus to hold the viewer's attention and the color palette is outstanding.

Scott:
Looks like a morning glory coughing up pollens (some of the grains looks like they are in mid air).

Joke aside, the image is really lovely, just the right DOF. :toast:

Scott - Just awesome. Stunning focus for that little bit of the pollen dust in the center on a wonderfully blurred green background :wavey:

Gary, thanks for the comment. For the record, my wife prefers "sprinkled with fairy star dust" to "coughing up pollen."

Scott: Mrs Lanz's description is much more refined and poetic! Gary

I really like your DOF here & the lighting is pretty nice. It looks like the center of the flower is glowing!

Wonderful colors and great dof choice, Scott. I especially like the sharp, isolated stigma poking out of the softness and the nearly sharp flower stalk in the lrc.

Beautiful image, Scott. I like the colors, and your focusing choice. Nice depth of field, too.

Superbly composed, Scott, with perfect light and dof. So glad you've left the touches of pollen - in this image they seem to suggest a scattering of points of light from the centre.
