Believe the name of this peony is "high noon". Taken this spring using Canon 7D, with 100-400 IS lens.

Tremendous detail and pastel colors. The DOF is perfect for this as well. Very nice.

Patricia - Beautiful shot of the Tree Peony - love the reddish stripes at the center and the crisp center by itself. The reverse vignette (assuming it was applied) works well too.

That is an incredibly gorgeous flower and you presented it so beautifully! This should go up on a wall in a frame!

Very interesting Patricia. Tons of character in this bloom. I think it feels just a tad oversharpened to me.

Beautiful! Maybe it is slightly over-sharpened for web presentation...but I bet if you print it like this it will be great!

Fascinating details, what a neat flower. The edge softening is a nice touch that helps emphasize the amazing center.

Patricia: I always enjoy your peony shots and this one ranks pretty high up in my favorites list. I especially like the vignette and find it the perfect complement to the flower. Beautiful presentation. >=))>
