London Bridge Has Fallen

After struggling with this series of files shot in 2009, I think I've finally got an acceptable-looking version. It's a blend of two images, 4 minutes for the foreground and 30 seconds for the sky.
This is the rock formation known as London Bridge which collapsed years ago leaving a people stranded at the end.

To say this is "acceptable" is a weee bit of an understatement, me thinks.
Incredible might be more like it.

Excellent. Almost like the fg is holding its breath in awe of the night sky. Nice!

Wow. I'm enjoying this one a lot! The comp and colors look great to me. Good thing no one was ON the bridge when it fell...

BTW, were the stars left a tad out-of-focus here to make them appear larger?

i love the color and comp. I'm not sure how the stars on the top of the frame, would look in a large print -- they're somewhere in-between streaking and not. Just a thought.

I think the blend looks incredable Kah Kit. Great job there! :toast:

I do wonder about the size of those stars up top (look really big) as well as the sqattiness of the arch/rock. Is there some perspective warping going on?

This looks great Kah Kit. Your "rework" series is looking good. :toast:
Also curious about the star sizes up top? I can see some effect of the earth's rotation setting in, which might explain it...

Love this, though I agree with Navin about the stars. Love the way the Milky Way has a sweeping look.

Visually very striking with a few caveats... I agree some of the stars look more like blobs, especially in the top third, given the apparent focal length used, I am at a loss as to explain it.

In all honesty, I think this one works on a certain level as a technical exercise, but would struggle a s a print.

I'm not sure about the reason for the blob like stars at the top. The image in certainly not printable but looks ok at web resolution.

I like the scene, but the starry sky, like many in images nowadays, doesn't seem to be "as seen from Earth." Really, really like the blurred textures in the clouds and water.
