Cottontail

This young cottontail was too cute to pass up recently. It was quietly nibbling the grass in a yard at the end of our street. It allowed me to approach fairly close. 7D, ISO 400, 1/160, f/11, 300mm, cropped mostly from the right. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Cute indeed Rob. I like the crouching pose and the clear eye. Your low angle and good isolation of the subject make this a captivating image. Seeing that you cropped this I would suggest to give this fellow a little more room to breath, but that is minor.

Great view of that eye, Rob. I would agree with Vincent that a little more space will make him feel less constrained. Techs look good.

I like the colors and detail in this a lot Rob, but I really like the eyes. They look almost over-sized for this tiny bunny and pop off the page! The space isn't such a big deal for me on this one. Since you left equal space all around, it feels intentional to give the viewer an up close and personal look. Sort of like I am lying in the grass with him.

Thanks for the comments. There is more OOF grass along the bottom that I tried to crop out. I will keep the suggestion for slightly more room in mind. Kurt, I was laying in the grass :).

This is great Rob. Love that eye and the low angle! Maybe a tad tight as mentioned...

Nits mentioned. Thanksing for sharing. We often overlook these little ones to grab larger animals. Andrew :jump:
