Common Burdock

Found this very common bushy plant growing along the edges of a field in a local park. If my ID is correct, it is "Common Burdock". These prickly flower heads easily catch on fur and clothing, providing a good means of seed dispersal.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/7.1 for 1/40 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, flash.

Carolyn--the saturation is quite strong on this but I like it! Good job.

Carolyn:
Beautifully captured. Masterful use of flash with no hint of flash been used here (the white looks fine and not blown out). :toast:

Smashing shot! This hits you like a hammer. I love the sharpness and bold look...perfect dof and good contrast against the b/g. Balanced comp...what's a person to say? ....no nits.
