This is a male Red-fronted Brown Lemur photographed at Isalo, Madagascar.

Canon 5DMkIII, EF70-200mm f/4 IS, handheld, ISO800, f/8, 1/50. Evidence of a sawn off limb at his right hand digitally disguised. Slight crop from left, right and top.

I think the grays--and the way the lemur blends into them--are great. The facial coloration does help it "emerge" from the surroundings quite nicely.

I would've liked a bit more breathing room at the top and I wonder how much more of the trunk is available on the left edge as well. If there's room to crop out the dark lines on the right and bring back a bit more of the trunk at left, the placement of the subject of the subject in the frame may be even more effective slightly off-center (similar to Brad's most recent bear post).

Good colors and detail in the lemurs coat and face. I like the pose, but agree abit more room at the top would be nice. Thanks for sharing.
