Minolta 200mm macro

We have several agapanthus plants and all of them have spectacular foliage but so far this spring this is the only flower head to emerge . I'm going to stay tuned to it and see if it fulfills its promise. All comments welcome. >=))>

F/11 worked out nicely Bill, a very pleasing comp.
Great title for this too, I'll have to borrow it :)
I think the opposing diagonal lines of your comp work well, just the right amount of space.
Excellent colors, details, and light..nice timing too

I love this image Bill. As you so apply named it there is a promise, but the colors on the buds against the greens is really nice. You have positioned the comp in a perfect manner. Very nice!

I like the varying angles and the shades in the greens in this image. The blue emerging flower contrasts so well with all that green. Great DOF choice and nice comp.

I've never seen agapanthus flowers emerging, Bill, as they don't grow where I live - this is a gorgeous shot of a fascinating moment. Perfect lighting and a strong composition.

Great shot of the mini blooms peaking out from the mother ship Bill. Very nice DOF and an effective comp. Works for me!

I shoot nature stock for a "living" (I use that term loosely, good thing my wife works) and am always being prompted to shoot conceptually. I can see this fitting that bill nicely. Nice job capturing "the moment".

Bill, the blue buds sticking out from all that green are great and the diagonal lines create a very dynamic image. I sure hope these bloom as nicely as they bud.

Bill - Terrific caption to go along with a nice shot of the Agapanthus bud with the blue buds bursting out. Slanted placement makes the composition dynamic.

A promise indeed, Bill! It is always amazing to see all those flowers emerging from only one bud! I had one Agapanthus plant, but left it outside last winter, that was to much... I really have to get me a new one, they are so beautiful. :wavey:

Those blues go with those greens so well! That and your usual expert comp makes for another fine image, Bill!
