Excellent capture, Jim! I was lucky to find a flock in Churchill last June on their way further north to breed. The male in his breeding plumage is quite the bird! We do get them down here in non-breeding colours in small numbers.

Nice capture of the longspur in its habitat, Jim.You caught the perfect headturn that shows off this colorful bird. The larger version really shines.

A beauty Jim, in great habitat too. Nice details and pose, I like being able to see the reddish neck feathers. One of the species I really enjoyed during my recent trip around Nome. Sweet Photo!!!
