There were many dead, brown pines ringing the lake from the bark beetle infestations. Not pretty to look at, but offered unusual water reflections in dawn light.

Very nice, Sandy. Good low angle, interesting water reflections and great detail i the Common Loon. Props to you for your stalking skill. I've never gotten within 20 meters of a Common Loon in my life...
