Veratrum #1

Nikon D300, 150mm, F/22, 0.8sec, ISO 200.

This was a terrible year for Veratrums. We had a frost and it snowed on the leaves, damaging them. I will try to make a series like last year, if I can find enough undamaged leaves. Comments appreciated.

Albert - Excellent photo - lovely waves moving through out the frame in an orderly fashion  . Details on the leaves are also terrific and the ridges move nicely along with the leaf edges.

You may want to look at darkening the leaf bit in the lower right corner - to the same intensity as the left bottom of the frame.

I really like this, Albert! The greens are so rich looking and the texture is wonderful. Love all those curves and great focus too. A very pleasing photo to look at!

Hi Ram :wavey: You have a great eye for detail, i thought seriously thought about darkening the leaf, and if it were caused by overexposure , i would have. but as i mentioned the frost damaged many leaves, turning them light green, ..... including these, so i left them alone, to show how nature ravaged the color.

Albert:
Seriously beautiful image with movement, symmetry and waves. You have almost gotten everything sharp except the tips of the two middle leaves at the left and right edge.

Beautiful, Albert !! Wonderfully strong composition and superb lighting and colour. Your eye is really drawn in to the centre, as into a whirlpool !!

Great lines and wonderful, rich tones Albert. I could stand a touch more DOF to get the tips of the petals more sharp, but it looks like you would have had to stack to get there.

I love this, Albert. I have no suggestions for changes.
Some symmetry in this that I like. Well seen and composed.
