WC-533 Copper's Glow

This is a juvenile White-crowned Sparrow I shot on a copper-plated bath.
No flash in bright sunlight, with the the metals reflection lighting up the bird from beneath in a coppery glow.
Anyway, I thought it fit this weeks theme with its monochromatic color scheme..
F/11, 1/4000th, ISO 1600, 1D M3, Canon 100-400mm lens in 2008.

I remember this beautiful shot from an earlier posting. A stunning shot, Howard! I like the variety of browns; from the background to the bird to the birdbath. Love the copper glow on the bird.

I too, remember this picture. I still love how the breast is lit from below and the drip of water falling off the beak. Great shot!
