Picture of a prairie storm moving in (Central Alberta, August 28, 2010). The photo was taken from a moving sightseeing train (open wagon). However the storm bypassed our location and there were only a few drops of rain.

Canon 7D, Canon 15 - 85 mm at 38 mm, large RAW, minor crop for composition.

C & Cs are welcome as always. Thanks for viewing. Roger

This is a nice capture of weather in action. It looks like somebody got wet, though. I crave more sky in this case. I love the way the light changes across the scene.

I always find it fascinating to see distinct edges of rain showers such as you have captured in this photo. The contrast is also quite distinct between the lighter clouds and the very dark clouds above them. Great capture of a storm moving in; the foreground looks peaceful but trouble is sure brewing somewhere!

There's a bit of noise in the sky, specially on the right side, but still a very nice scene. The bright green grass contrasts nicely with the dark sky.

I loved watching prairie storms as a kid (from shelter of with it nearby) and sure miss these kind of views living in the eastern forest. The lighting on the foreground is great and I really like the tension that you've added by centering the edge of the storm.

This is a fine photo.
Only one minor nit: Could it use a slight 'leveling'?
The roof in the center-most building in my mind should perhaps not be level but a gauge as to where the photo might be.
And my eye may not be the greatest. Wide angle presents a few problems.
