Look Down

Taken last fall in Alaska when skies were gray and not all that suitable for landscapes with skies. Amazing small world and color as if you are looking down on a forest canopy. No wind that day either which was a plus.

Tom, This is really nice! Perfect light for this type of shot and wonderful colors! I guess that is why you made the image in the first place  . I think your comp worked out great...yup! you gotta look down when the big scene conditions don't work out. Beautiful detail in the large version...a must look imo. Excellent work on this. I like it alot!

I'd hang this on my wall for sure! Beautiful arrangement in the comp, exposure is perfect, color is fantastic! Some folks may tell you to lighten the upper right quadrant but this still works fine for me!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Tom. Comp is great. The colors pop, and the addition of the log is a plus. Top notch looking down shot!

Very nice imaging, Tom. You know one thing that is on my list of important things: When the grand landscape isn't happening, look down!

This is a superb forest floor shot, Tom. I really like the arrangement of fall color along with the diagonal placement of the fallen birch. Well done IMO. :toast:

Comp and colors are beautiful in this subdued light. Intrigued by the single light leaf in harmony with the branch. Love it! :toast:

A little busy but works esp with the solidity of the trunk. Good work.
