The clouds had held such promise on the drive to this location yesterday morning, but they moved too far east by sunrise to allow the light to color them here. So, I lucked into something a little different when I went looking for a comp to include the flowering shrubs in the foreground. The moon set directly behind Flatiron #1 and was covered by a thin layer of high clouds to create a glow.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Pretty cool Morris, the glow from the moon sets this one apart. Glad you were able to find a comp afterall

That is cool looking! I love the looks of the glow you caught behind the peak and nice you could find something like the flowering shrub to include in the foreground. I like the light! Very nice Morris.

Ahh, what a beautiful shot. The moon gives this an otherworldly feel and the flowers are a nice anchor up front. It's quite captivating.

Pretty cool, Morris, although I like the moon halo much more than the flowers--i guess im undecided if the flowers compliment or mesh with the bg landscape. At any rate id probably crop some of the brown stuff on the bottom. Maybe you could revisit this location next Sunday and photograph the flowers buried under a foot of snow

Great title because this does have a beautiful quality of ambient light. Nice elegance to the comp overall with the white blossoms accentuating the rest of the scene.

Oooh, this is very nice! I love the symmetry and twilight feel. I might've been tempted to tilt the camera up a hair so as to include a bit more sky and a bit less foreground to give the comp a bit more balance.

Even though you didn't get the comp you had originally envisioned, you came away with something equally nice, Morris. An excellent plan B.

Nice, Morris. Only thought might be to crop a it off the bottom. What a nice set-up with the sun and all.

Nice symmetry and timing on the light. I also like the barely there highlight on the blossoms. Lovely!
