Wood Duck

This Wood Duck was captured yesterday in the same slough area that the pied-billed grebe was in for my last posting. Fortunately the lighting was better and the suggestions learned from the last posting helped in processing this woody.

This looks good to me, and I'd be delighted with a Wood Duck this nice in my files. Colors look very natural. A touch more detail in the darkest feathers would be nice to have, but giving any more exposure would take its toll on the brightest parts.

Beauty, Craig. Great colors...for bird and bg. and the feather and water textures just add icing to the cake. The drake woodies around here always seems to skittish for me to even get a chance at such a nice image.
