Painted Tulip

I spent many hours this morning at the Biltmore Estate here in Asheville, North Carolina. I am fortunate to live in this wonderful town of Asheville surrounded by Mother Nature who is giving us quite a showing this spring.

This is just one of the thousands of tulips that are planted on the grounds of the Biltmore. I decided it needed that "painterly" look, just for something different. I am using a new piece of software called "PostworkShop" and just love it. You can find it here: http://postworkshop.net/

Camera: Nikon D7000, polarizer, hand held ... and a glorious spring day.

I appreciate all your comments and feedback. Happy spring to all.

Gorgeous! I love the colors you chose against the black background, and I love the comp.

The brush strokes are really nice. I could see hanging this on my wall. I could also see a subtle lightening of the greens on the left creating an even more spring like feeling.
