Sunset on Findhorn Beach, Moray, Scotland

Thanks for having a look. I am not sure if I should crop the immediate foreground or not since it looks a little muddy color wise. Appreciate your thoughts. This was mainly processed in LR4 (love LR4) with some minor touch up in CS6 beta (first trying it today).

Canon 5DM2
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L at 70mm
ISO100 1/5sec f/14

Taken on a 1-2-1 with Ian C.

Breathtaking color and a deep sense of peace. I like the graceful arch of the clouds and the reflected colors. IMO, cropping the fg would make this a stronger image, but it is certainly lovely as is.

Beautiful Eva, especially the sky and mountains. Initially I thought cropping 50 to 75% of the f/g "muddy" area would be the way to go, but on reflection (no pun intended!) and after looking at the larger image, I wouldn't crop.

Beautiful image Eva. I am mixed on the FG crop. It looks to me like you would also want to crop the uncolored sky to match and make sort of a pano out of it if you crop below. But on the other hand I do think it is nice as is.

Wow... love the crossed lines in the clouds and the color transitions. I like the subtle line in the FG, so I'd leave it... but I can see how un-centering the horizon is nice too. Really nice overall though.

A very serene setting, Eva. The sky and reflection are lovely.

The foreground color is unusual, but I'd keep it for that reason. I like the reflective bronzey color there. Comp is simple but it works enough to showcase the colors and the great light.

WOW, this sky is wonderful, Eva. The arching clouds are the main point of interest to me. The only crop I might take is a very small one to eliminate just the LRHC larger mound. I think too much beyond that starts to really darken the image too much. At least my way of thinking. I'd keep the FG water area for that reason.

Eva, What a beautiful sky that is. The color and look of those clouds is wonderful. The mountains look great as does the reflection. Looks good as it is, but I really like it with the foreground cropped out up to the beginning of the dark area. It seems to have a more dramatic feel and also seems to enhance the nice reflections in the dark areas. I like this alot.

I like the comp, except for the colorless foreground reflection. Cropping this off makes what remains very interesting.

Love that sky with those curves of the clouds reaching across the frame and the beautiful color. The silhouetted rocks and stuff in the foreground works quite well but I think I would have to agree with those suggesting a crop of the foreground water. Either way though, really nice in my opinion.
