A different view of the canyon in the nice early morning light. This place is really growing on me. This gives a more wide open view of the canyon from up on the buttes on the north side. This is four images combined in a pano. Again all comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

Canon 40D
Sigma 17-70
Manual Exposure & Focus
Shutter 0.5 sec.
Aperture f19
ISO 125
57mm
Images combined in PSE9
Some cropped off of the top

Beautiful view of the canyon. I like the balance of the tree on left vs. rock outcrop on right. Beautiful light. Looks like it's starting to awaken from the winter doldrums. You got quite a "project" going here and I think eventually your photos will have a wonderful story to tell. I think the pond in the MG left is the first water I've seen on you images.

Richard, that's a nice view of a beautiful place. I imagine the pano is great if viewed at a proper size. Sorry, but I'm not finding a strong central subject to make this exciting to view.

I like the comp with the little cliff on the right and tree left. But the big empty expanse in the middle is losing me. Maybe if printed really big, the emptiness would be more interesting, or have some more detail, but it just seems empty here.

I like the expansive view here as well as the light. The two things I find myself looking at most, the exposed rock in the light on the right, and the tree lower left are too close to the edges of the frame IMO. In that regard, it doesn't really give me something structured to focus on. Can't say if that would be the case in a full sized print though.

Really enjoy that nice early morning light gently bathing this scene. The pano works quite well. Nicely done.

I too am wanting to explore this much more, but find even the larger one too small. Maybe a link to it large?
