Thanks for your comments on my last post.

Here's another one from the region of Les Pres d'Orvin/Switzerland.
I'm not really happy about the cut off branches on the left but there were some disturbing elemnts I couldn't remove.

Techs:Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR @ 19mm, Iso:200, 10sec,f11, Big Stopper (10stop ND Filter Lee

R. Bill, this is very nice. Earth and sky seem to blend into one. The right side edge conflict is not bad and can be lessened with a little editing.

Very interesting tree with a really nice shape. I think the sky really adds to the image. The cut off branches don't really bother me, but it does make the tree look like it is shoved to that side of the picture a bit. It might help to crop some off the right side. I think this image would work well with the tree more centered.

I love the character of that tree along with those clouds and soft light, Bill. I think if you cloned out those couple of stumps and some of those limbs that leave the frame on the left; it would make an outstanding image even stronger. :toast:

Gorgeous image Bill. I might be tempted to bring out a little more detail in the shadows of the trunk since the appears to be a grad line there. The graceful shape of that tree makes this a beautiful image regardless but also make makes it worth your while to make perfect. Have you tried some of the new tools in LR4?

Very nice! Looks cold. The blues look completely natural and work well with the sky.

I have heard a lot of stuff regarding extreme barrel distortion with that lens. But in this image @19mm, I don't see any. I noticed another image of yours in another gallery where i noticed the same thing. What's your opinion about this lens at it's widest. I'm seriously considering this one to go along with my new 24-70 2.8!

Really nice Bill - love the blues and yellows here. I like the silhouette and detail in the tree. I really really wish the branches weren't cut off on the left.

This work quite well. I like the starkness and isolation. The left side isn't bad and still works.

Bill - I agree that the left protruding branch does take something away, but the trees form and sky really work for me. There also seems to be a wire  or something resembling one on the left trunk. I imagine this might make a nice B&W as well.

Lovely relaxing scene and color Bill! I would agree with cloning the two small "stumps".

Beautiful color and a wonderful feel, and I really enjoy the looks of this lone tree. As mentioned a little close on the left edge, but still looks very nice to me. Nice work Bill
