Memories of Yesteryear

Yup, that's all we can do is remember the epic winter of 2011. This year has been a bust, and cause for some of the lethargy around here I'm sure. I know it's effected me. But, this weekend looks to hold promise for some new snow in Yosemite. Snow levels down to around 3000ft hopefully. Hope you like this one! Larger version included.

D200,
18-70mm,
1/10sec, F/11

Thanks,
Chris

Yup. Same for us. The no winter of 2012 in southern NH. Little snow, little ice. Biggest snow storm was in October which knocked out our power for 4 days.

The snow covered branches are a wonderful contrast to the red trunks Chris. A beautiful winter scene!

Chris, This is really nice! A beautiful winter scene that I really enjoy. Our winter was a bust as well. We have been setting new warm temp records almost everyday this week. Excellent work!

Exquisite, Chris. Absolutely gorgeous. The verticals of the trees contrasted with the snow laden branches is simply incredible. And then that color. Superb work.

Just wonderful Chris. The lines and contrasts here really make this stand out. Just the kind of winter image I would've loved to capture this year!

Neat how the snow almost obscures the details, but just enough shows through to see what's going on.

Chris, I enjoy the detailed textures and warm tones of the barks standing out from the snow covered background. A fine balanced composition to my eye.
