Leaves + repost

Yes, leaves. This was all we saw for many minutes before we understood that one of those leaves neaby the canal was a frog. A perfect way to hide, indeed!
We decided to post this in the Flora gallery as we find that the frog is perfectly integrated and part of the shapes and lines of the scene.

Thanks for looking.

The frog among all the leaves looks fantastic. The BG is very complementing, too. One tiny suggestion is the shadow on the right, maybe a crop or rather a bit of cloning. That extra space is needed. Just an idea. Excellent shot. :toast:

Your top down comp really shows how well the frog blends into and mimics its environment, and the angle gives the image artistry. Good environmental wildlife image.

You could have fooled me too, D & L !! Lovely image, ( frog or not ) - the tones are especially beautiful, and the leaves and frog in perfecr harmony.

D&L: Looking at your tech specs this must be a little guy indeed. Great find and capture. I agree with Chris about making the dark line on the right go away. Nicely done.>=))>

Wonderful image! The angle of your shot really helps show how this little guy blends in. Great perspective and comp. Like the blueish BG too.

Thank you all for the very kind comments and suggestions. We appreciate a lot!
We tried to remove that leaf on the right side before the shot, but the frog was above the water and one leg of our tripod was almost in the canal (a very large canal, with deep and fast water!). So we couldn't manage to exluced it. And then we didn't try to clone it. We didn't find it too disturbing.
But after all your comments we tried to clone it. This is the result. It seems much better, even if our technique is not at top level.
Thank you again.

Excellent shot, with a subtle light, a delicate color palette and a fine composition- The repost sounds well, but you could leave it untouched without problems- I figure out why I never saw that kind of frog in the wild- My congrats, Fabio

The repost looks neat.

BTW I added + repost to the title to alert viewers that you have added another image. You could add this in future by editing the original post

Amazing job of finding that frog. It really is well disguised as a leaf.
