Nikon D300, 38 mm, F/11, 1/80, ISO 200.

The lichen on this ash tree was quite decorative, the fog in the background was a bonus. Comments appreciated.

Wonderful colour harmonies, Albert, and an inspired composition ! I don't think lichen could be presented better than in this decorative strip against that misty grey background of trees.

The lichen looks very interesting Albert, along with the texture on the trunk. I sort of wish that the large trunk did not completely split the image so much, but if the lichen is your subject, then I can see why you composed it so.

A nice "different" looking shot. A nice change of pace from the usual lichen close-up. I like the tree set against the soft bg trees. Well done. :toast:

This is very nice. The lichen on the trunk really stands out against the fog, I really like the depth of the bg woods, too.

Very creative way to showcase the lichen on this tree trunk; the trees and fog in the background really add a nice touch. Interesting varieties of lichen. I think I would have preferred a less centered comp but that is certainly a personal choice. Great find, Albert!

Very nice shot, Albert. I find that the fog is perfectly complimentary to the lichen and create this perfect mood.

Congrats

Well seen Albert. I like the comp of the trees fanning out behind the ash tree.

It gives me a feeling of isolation. Surely the BG adds so much to this shot. :toast:

Very decorative lichen you found there, Albert. It stands out from the neutral background. I hope you got a close up or two as well.
