Another take on a sand abstract from a morning on Grand Isle. Different processing and framing than in this post.

I am enjoying this one. Very original. I love that it could be a wide arial shot as well as the close intimate view of a small area on a beach. The dark center and surrounding lines keep your eye in the frame nicely, and I like the darker areas around the bottom further push the eye toward the center of the frame.
Well executed.
Edit: Just looked back at the original B&W, I much prefer the color version.

An amazing image to me, David. The monochromatic character emphasizes the graphic quality well in my opinion. I especially appreciate the kind of flow in your composition that really brings it to life for me.

very cool, david. the first thing that popped into my head was B&W, so I appreciate your link to the other post. IMO the textures are more appealing in that version. I do like the framing in this version better, as the top corner is more appealing.
this almost looks like a medusa abstract!

Good eye to spot this! Very nice composition and excellent processing too. Unusual for me, but I like this toned version better than the B&W.

I like this version much better as the inclusion of more lines and area give a better "flow" in the image. Very interesting to look at.

My mind travels through here and finds some amazing things. What an interesting shot. A totally different feel than so many sand abstracts I've seen. The confluence of the lines looks something like a face.

Exquisite art, David. The pattern and tones are captivating. While the b/w is remarkable, the color rendition far exceeds the b/w in my opinion, as far as the emotional response that this image invokes. Stunning.
